Bob Bennet of Utah

Ok, so the Utah GOP has thrown Bob Bennett under the bus. What does that mean?

CNN seems to think this is a good thing. I'm not so sure. Bennett is leading member of The Senate Rules Committee which is in the process of upgrading the election laws. He's also on the Senate Banking Committee and the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee. Just those three positions give the State of Utah a lot of sway in getting money for their state and determining how the government runs and how it gets paid for.

Maybe there should be some second thoughts about what the GOP in Utah is doing. I recall the demise of Bob Packwood (who cares who's boobs got grabbed?), Head of the Ways and Means Committee, some years ago. This may be the same kind of fiasco.
